On February 26, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski made an essential appeal to the audience at the Atlantic Council. He said the United States should continue supporting Ukraine in its struggle for security and stability.

The speech, which was delivered at the Atlantic Council think tank, reflected the importance of joint action to ensure peace and security in the region. Sikorsky pointed to three key steps that he believes can help achieve this goal.

First, it provides Ukrainian forces with the necessary ammunition to strengthen their defense capabilities in the difficult situation. Second, it is investing in the security of the region to create a deterrent that will block potential aggressive actions by Russia. Third, it is expanding alliances to ensure lasting peace.

In his speech, Sikorski emphasized that the invasion of Ukraine is not a simple regional conflict situation – the war has potentially global implications. He noted that by leaving Ukraine without support, the West risks strengthening Russia’s aggression in the region and possibly beyond.
