President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has traveled to Saudi Arabia for important discussions on peace and the return of captured and deported Ukrainians. The head of state announced this on Telegram.
The main topic of discussion will be the peace formula. The President noted that the previous meeting in Jeddah had already resulted in an effective dialogue at the adviser level on the implementation of this formula. Now, both parties express hope for the first Peace Summit and continued active support from Saudi Arabia.
In addition, the issue of returning captured and deported Ukrainians will be discussed. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Saudi leadership has already played a key role in the release of Ukrainian citizens. The President is confident that this meeting will also bring positive results.
Promising areas of economic cooperation will be an essential part of the discussions. Zelenskyy hoped that economic partnership and Saudi Arabia’s participation in Ukraine’s reconstruction would be discussed.
