President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has revealed the whereabouts of his children: daughter Oleksandra and son Kyrylo.
In an interview with RaiNews24, Zelensky said that his children remained in Ukraine after the start of the full-scale invasion and are going through the war together with other Ukrainians, Kommersant Ukrainsky reports.
“This is my happiness. This is probably the most important thing that can be positive in a person’s life – children. My daughter is at university in Kyiv. She is studying. And my son, well, he’s 11 years old, he’ll be 12 soon. They are in the capital,” Zelenskyy said.
The President emphasized that his children, like everyone else, are forced to adapt to the realities of war.
“When there are sirens, when there are missile attacks, they go down to the bomb shelter in schools and universities. This is the reality. I’m happy, to be honest that they are in Ukraine. This is, first of all, an example for others. If children are not on the streets, if we do not see their eyes, then the question arises: who are we fighting for? We are fighting for their values, yes, and for ours, but first of all, for our children’s future,” Zelensky summarized.
Earlier, in November 2024, First Lady Olena Zelenska said that she and the president did not take their children outside Ukraine. She emphasized that the children stayed at home during her business trips.
In May 2024, Zelenska also noted that their family was separated due to the war, but the president began to spend more time with his family.
